I always dreamed of one day posting my own success story here and am convinced it would not have been possible without you all...

I am 24, married female from India. In the month of June I was 23 weeks pregnant when I lost my baby. I was so depressed with the loss. I had PCOS before and that had brought about irregular cycles, weight gain and all the difficulties with conception along with that.

A few days after my loss I came across a book called "The Secret". I wanted to overcome my depression and make myself healthy again naturally. I weighed 62.5 kgs when I started on June 30.

I found CPH and read all your posts for several days and that gave me the confidence that even I could do it. I set a goal of 50 kgs and I started my own exercise routine and did slight modifications to my diet since then. Over the past few months this new goal and its challenges brought me out of my depression.

I never thought it possible but here I am weighing all of 51 kgs today. My cycles have never been so regular. I underwent ultrasound and found that even my PCOS has subsided to negligible levels. I am yet to reach my goal but I know I will get there soon enough...

A big congrats to you, sonamohan!!!

I just know you will reach your goal soon!

Thank you, too, for telling us about how your weight loss has helped you in other ways. It's often forgotten that losing weight helps us in so many areas of life.

Great job, and keep it going!

Thanks CrimsonAnimus! I was thinking may be no one wants to comment... I have been having this urge to shout out that "I did it".... I thought I could do it here in this forum and be forgiven for it

I repeat myself again that it would not have been possible without all your support and advice...

Thanks everyone

I strongly believe there is no short cut to weight loss - work hard and watch what you eat is the only way in the long run! Most important is to have a support group like this to bombard with questions whenever there is a problem.
