Most forums assign membership titles based on number of posts, but we don't think that works well for a diet and weight loss forum. People with weight issues tend to be compulsive, and can join a forum and post day and night for weeks and then be gone. So we have decided to give more weight (excuse the pun) to the length of time members have been with us.
All are welcome to read our forums as a Guest, but you must register to post in them. Once you register you are automatically given the title of New Member. Before you can be given a higher title, you must display your city, state and country, and an avatar.
Sharing your location makes the forums more interesting. But if you are from a small town and are concerned you might be identified, enter Smalltown for your city. Click here to add your location: Location
An avatar is a graphic like the running clock you see over to the left. Click here for instructions: How to Put an Avatar under Your User Name
Also, if you don't select your own avatar, you may be given a flag for your country. We like flags! (If this happens to you, you are welcome to change it.)
Requirements for membership titles:
Member:
1. Membership for 1 month or more.
2. 10 posts or more.
Senior Member:
1. Membership for 3 months or more.
2. 25 posts or more.
Distinguished Member:
1. Membership for 1 year or more.
2. 100 posts or more.
There is absolutely no importance to the above titles. They are just for fun, and you may remain a Guest or New Member as long as you like. But if you meet the requirements for a higher title and you would like us to change it, please send us an e-mail via the link at the bottom of any page.
Moderators have been given the capability to edit or delete your posts to ensure that all posts conform to the Forum Posting Guidelines.
Administrators have Moderator capabilities, but can also ban members from further use of the forums, create new forums, and so on.
