Does anyone have an opinion or reason to believe that Splenda may actually hurt a person's weight loss goals?
Please explain.

Here is a link to some studies done on Sucralose/Splenda:
http://www.feingold.org/Research/splenda.html
Most of them seem to suggest no long-term adverse effects, although one study, done by the makers of Splenda themselves, resulted in 2 death and 4 failed pregnancies in a group of 18 rabbits, due to gastrointestinal disturbance.

Please Please don't eat artificial sweeteners at all your health is just too important - you will be far better off just using natural sugar.
Just Google splenda+poison and see what you find, there is lots of scientific evidence to back up the claims being made ... its just not worth it!

| i used to use splenda in my coffee and anything else i made..but as of late i have stopped. i am using pure sugar now, and trying not to overuse it. i dont know if it ever stopped the weight loss for me, but i am finding that unless its summertime, and i am drinking iced tea with lemon that i simply dont enjoy it anymore. when i was doing atkins i used it alot more, but i never noticed that much of a difference. in moderation it probably wont hurt you i am sure but dont hold me to that!

Yes this is true about splenda being very bad for you. It's said that splenda and other artificial sweetners have been linked to alzhiemers and quite a bit of other bad diseases. If you can stay away from it it's bad news!
