Small Changes Yield Big Results

Newsletters

If there is one thing that resonates through all my newsletters, it is that little changes can yield big results. In my very first article I stated that one little dietary change is all it takes to see significant weight loss. It could be as simple as forgoing the cream in your coffee or tea, switching from regular to diet cola, or using 1% milk instead of whole milk.

In Diet Simple by Katherine Tallmadge, MA, RD, revised 2004, you'll find many more ideas on how you can make minor changes that will produce dramatic results over time. The book includes:

  1. 192 mental tricks, substitutions, habits and inspirations

  2. Menu plans with nutritional data already worked out for you

  3. Low calorie "batch recipes" that you can make in advance

Some of the recipes come from America's greatest gourmet chefs, and all are suitable for refrigeration and freezing. Check your library or bookstore, or learn more via our Amazon link.

If you’re looking for some new ideas to help with weight loss, you can have a good read and end up weighing less in the process.

And speaking of reading, many readers report that reading one of my past articles is a great way to start each day and keep their mind focused on their goals. They are all available via the links, below.

Healthy regards,
Megan Porter, RD
